Accessibility Statement
High Yield Vault is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Our accessibility commitment
High Yield Vault, LLC ("HYV") is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. This includes ensuring our Website and Services are accessible to people with disabilities, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process and that digital accessibility benefits everyone. If you encounter any barrier or have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us using the information in Section 7 below.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
High Yield Vault believes that everyone should be able to access and use our Website and Services, regardless of their abilities, disabilities, or the devices they use. We are committed to:
- Designing with accessibility in mind — accessibility considerations are built into our design and development process from the start, not added as an afterthought
- Following established standards — we target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across the Website
- Testing with real users and tools — we use a combination of automated testing, manual review, and — where feasible — assistive technology testing
- Continuous improvement — accessibility is an ongoing journey. We regularly review and update the Website to address barriers
- Welcoming feedback — user feedback is often the most valuable source of information about accessibility gaps
Our audience includes seniors aged 65 and older, financial professionals, and advisors — many of whom may benefit from accessibility features such as larger text, high-contrast design, and keyboard navigation. We have designed the Website with these users in mind.
Conformance Level
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels of conformance:
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
The highyieldvault.com website targets conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the level widely recognized as the industry standard, referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and adopted by most government and enterprise websites.
Current status: Partially Conformant. Some content may not yet fully meet all Level AA success criteria. We are actively working to address identified gaps and welcome user feedback. See Section 4 for known limitations.
Why WCAG 2.1 AA and not AAA?
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard most authoritative bodies recognize as the baseline for accessibility. Level AAA conformance is the highest tier but is often impractical for all content types. By targeting Level AA across all content, we aim to make accessibility achievable and sustainable, rather than aspirational and incomplete. In specific areas of the Website, we may exceed Level AA where feasible.
Accessibility Features Implemented
We have implemented the following accessibility features across our Website:
Perceivable
Text alternatives
Images include descriptive alt text so screen readers can convey their content and purpose.
High color contrast
Text has sufficient contrast against backgrounds (at least 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
Resizable text
Text can be zoomed up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Semantic structure
Proper HTML heading hierarchy (H1–H4) and landmarks for navigation.
Operable
Keyboard navigation
All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are reachable and operable with a keyboard.
Visible focus indicators
Keyboard focus is always visually distinguishable so users can track where they are on the page.
Skip-to-content link
A "Skip to main content" link appears for keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
No time limits
Forms and interactive content do not impose time limits that might disadvantage users needing more time.
Understandable
Plain language
We use clear, plain language wherever possible — particularly important for our senior audience.
Language declaration
The HTML lang attribute is set so assistive technologies can use the correct pronunciation.
Form labels & errors
Form fields have associated labels, and errors are clearly identified in text (not color alone).
Consistent navigation
Navigation menus and UI elements behave consistently across pages.
Robust
ARIA where appropriate
We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes to enhance semantics for assistive technologies when native HTML is not sufficient.
Valid HTML
We write valid HTML5 that can be parsed reliably by browsers and assistive technologies.
Responsive design
The Website adapts to different screen sizes, orientations, and devices, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Compatible with AT
We test with common screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) and other assistive technologies where feasible.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, we recognize that the Website may contain accessibility gaps. Honest disclosure of known limitations is part of our commitment to transparency. We actively work to address these, and we welcome your feedback.
Current known limitations
Third-party embedded content
Our Contact page includes an embedded Google Maps iframe showing our location in Irvine, CA. Google Maps is a third-party service whose accessibility we do not control directly. If the map is not accessible to you, our full address is also available in text form on the same page, and you can contact us by phone or email.
PDF documents
We may occasionally publish PDF documents (e.g., educational materials, client agreements). Some legacy PDF documents may not be fully accessible. If you encounter an inaccessible PDF, please contact us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.
Complex data tables
Some sections of the Website — including the life settlement marketplace on our Invest page — display complex financial data in tabular form. While we have applied accessibility best practices to these tables (headers, captions, summaries), complex financial data can be challenging to convey through assistive technologies alone. If you need assistance interpreting any data, please contact a Private Wealth Advisor who can walk you through it verbally.
Video content
If we add video content in the future, we commit to providing captions and, where feasible, audio descriptions and transcripts. We do not currently host video on the Website.
Older blog posts
Blog posts published before our accessibility standards were formalized may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are progressively updating older content as part of an ongoing review.
Third-Party Content Disclaimer
Our Website incorporates content and services provided by third parties, including but not limited to:
- Google Maps — embedded on our Contact page to display our location
- Google Fonts — for typography
- LinkedIn — for our company page presence
- Settlement Group — our operational partner, whose website is linked from our Partners page
We make reasonable efforts to select third-party services that are themselves committed to accessibility. However, we do not control the accessibility of third-party websites or embedded content. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on a third-party service linked from our Website, please contact the relevant third party directly, and let us know so we can assess whether alternative access paths are needed on our end.
In Robles v. Domino's Pizza, LLC, 913 F.3d 898 (9th Cir. 2019), the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals held that the Americans with Disabilities Act applies to websites and mobile applications when they are heavily integrated with a physical place of public accommodation. High Yield Vault, while primarily a digital business, extends these accessibility standards across our Website in recognition of the important role accessibility plays in meaningful engagement with our Services.
Assessment & Testing Methodology
We evaluate accessibility through a combination of methods:
Automated testing
- Axe DevTools — automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks across key pages
- WAVE (WebAIM Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool)
- Lighthouse Accessibility audit — Chrome DevTools
- HTML validation via W3C validator
Manual testing
- Keyboard-only navigation — verifying all interactive elements are reachable without a mouse
- Screen reader testing with NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android) on key user flows
- Color contrast verification using the WebAIM Contrast Checker
- Zoom/magnification testing at 200% and 400%
- Reflow testing at different viewport sizes
Review schedule
We conduct comprehensive accessibility reviews at least annually, with focused reviews when we launch new pages or features. The most recent comprehensive assessment was conducted on the Last Assessment date shown at the top of this Statement.
Remediation process
When accessibility issues are identified — whether through our own testing, user feedback, or third-party assessment — we triage them by severity:
- Critical (content fully inaccessible) — addressed within 5 business days
- High (significant barrier) — addressed within 15 business days
- Medium (partial barrier) — addressed in the next quarterly release
- Low (minor enhancement) — tracked for future updates
Feedback & Alternative Access
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our Website. If you encounter a barrier, have a suggestion, or need content in an alternative format, please contact us through any of the channels below.
Response timeline
We commit to:
- Acknowledging your feedback within 2 business days
- Providing an initial response within 5 business days with our assessment of the issue and, where possible, a timeline for resolution
- Offering an accessible alternative to access the information or functionality while we work to address the barrier
Alternative ways to access our Services
If any content on our Website is not accessible to you, we are committed to providing alternative access through multiple channels:
All of our Services — consultations, policy evaluations, investor discovery calls, advisor partner onboarding — can be completed entirely by phone, email, or video call. You never need to navigate the Website on your own to engage our Services.
How to submit accessibility feedback
Please include the following information, if possible, to help us investigate:
- Description of the issue — what happened, what you expected
- URL of the page where you encountered the issue
- Device and assistive technology used — browser, operating system, screen reader (if applicable)
- Your preferred contact method for our response

This Accessibility Statement does not constitute a legal guarantee of full conformance, but represents our good-faith, ongoing commitment to digital accessibility. We recognize that accessibility is a journey, not a destination, and we will continue to improve.
Changes to this Statement
We may update this Accessibility Statement periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When material changes occur, we will update the "Last Assessment" date and provide prominent notice on the Website.
